Class disruptions or use of profanity and/or misbehavior of any type (including, but not limited to: insubordination, academic non-compliance, cheating, disrespect, fighting, eating in classroom/ hallway, etc.) will not be tolerated. Any referral for such conduct will result in dismissal from Summer School with grade penalty (W/F).

  • Messages to students will not be delivered during classes. Please discuss any necessary plans with your student before school.
  • Cell phones are not to be used during instructional time; however, students may use them before the start of school and during breaks.
  • The standard North Central Dress Code applies during Summer School. Students are to be properly and appropriately dressed. Tank tops, spaghetti straps, and halter tops must be covered up. Leggings, tights, and pantyhose are acceptable for school; however, they must be covered by shorts, skirts, dresses, and tops that are a minimum of fingertip length around the circumference of the student. Jeans that are excessively ripped are not permitted. There are no pre-arranged absences in Summer School. Students who leave school early for any reason will be counted absent.  Students do NOT have to be called in, but a note is required from the parent and/or guardian explaining the nature of the absence. The note should be given directly to the teacher upon the day of return, not the front office.  If a note is not given to the teacher on the day of return, the absence will be considered unexcused. Students may not be absent the last day of Summer School during either session due to final exams.

Teachers are not expected to call a student’s parents related to daily attendance.

Regular attendance is expected for in person classes. All students must arrange their vacation and employment schedules to permit attendance on all scheduled days. Students are only allowed one absence. Two absences, excused or unexcused, are excessive and will result in withdrawal from the class with a grade penalty (W/F). Students may not be absent on the last day of Summer School due to final exams.
