NEW ANNOUNCEMENT

BOOK CLUB: Missed the first call-out meeting for Book Club last week? Then come to the 2nd Book Club call-out meeting TOMORROW, Wednesday, November 3, after school in the lower library. Great conversations and bus passes will be provided. Contact NC Librarian Lee Toussant if you’re interested but unable to attend.

INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL: The intramural basketball season will be back at North Central this fall and winter.  Students interested in forming a team need to come to Mr. Hodes’s room M673 to pick-up a signup form.  The forms and money will be due on November 15 and the season will begin on Wednesday, November 17. Come join the fun!

KING’S COURT: Do you enjoy singing or acting or being part of a dramatic production? The King’s Court is looking for some students to act out the part of a Knight in their upcoming Madrigal Dinners,

“A Not so Fairy Tale” on December 3 and 4.  If you would like to be part of the fun, please stop by room K211 or e-mail Mrs. Click, the director at jclick@msdwt.k12.in.us for a script, song and details.

ISSMA SOLO AND ENSEMBLE CONTEST:  Are you planning to take a piano or vocal solo or ensemble to ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest this winter? Please see Mrs.

Click for an entry form in K211. All entry forms and fees for District Piano and Vocal Solo and Ensemble Contest must be given to Mrs. Click by Thursday, November 18 prior to Thanksgiving Break. No Exceptions! Remember you must currently be performing with one of North Central’s music ensembles in order to enter the ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest.  Thank you and if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Click in room K211.

  2. The Light Café Restaurant is not open to students for breakfast or lunch.
  3. All students must remain at NC during their lunchtime.

ACE MENTORING VIRTUAL MEETING: ACE Mentoring is designed to encourage students interested in a career in architecture, construction, or engineering by meeting and interacting with professionals in those fields. For interested students, ACE has a virtual meeting on Wednesday, November 3, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Join the ACE Remind by texting @nchsace to 81010 for Zoom information.

TOUR GUIDES NEEDED: Want to show your school pride? Want community Service credit? It is time to sign up to be a student tour guide for the North Central Open House on Sunday, November 7.  The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and there are two time shifts to fill. Please go to the North Central website (nchs.cc) and click on the Open House link, then scroll down to click on the link that reads, “I want to be a student tour guide.”  Sign up for one or more shifts on Sunday, November 7, and one brief mandatory training session. There will be one offered before school and one after school that week before the Open House. If you can’t give tours for a full shift because you are performing at the Open House, please put that in the Comment section and tell us when you are available for tours. We are so excited to show off our school and YOU are the best representatives of Panther Pride!   The Open House tour training – November 3 after school and November 4 at 6:45 a.m. must be attended to be a tour guide.

VIRTUAL JOB FAIR:  Students are invited to attend a virtual job fair on November 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fair focuses on employment opportunities, but it also gives students a chance to do some career exploration and learn about the employability skills training available through Mayor Hogsett’s Job Ready Indy program.  Visit bit.ly/MBKjobfair

WRESTLING PRACTICE:  For any boy or girl interested in wrestling, the first official wrestling practice is TODAY, November 1.  Practice begins at 3:00 pm in the wrestling room.  Make sure you have a physical turned in and a 2.0 GPA.  The coaching staff looks forward to seeing you!
