MSD of Washington Township uses a 1:1 technology approach for all students in grades K-12. North Central High School students will be assigned a district owned Chromebook to use at school and at home (students will take their devices home at night and on the weekends). 9th grade and other students new to North Central can pick up their Chromebook at Panther Prep on July 30th.
The district selected a Chromebook over other devices because it best meets learning objectives, integrates deeply with Google for Education, is compatible with online assessments, is easily managed, and is the most cost efficient. Chromebooks are used in a variety of ways in our classrooms; however the focus is to provide students with multiple opportunities to research, collaborate, and create.
NOTE: Families will need to update their student’s information in Skyward Family Access before coming to pick up their Chromebook during Panther Prep.
IF YOU COMPLETE ALL NECESSARY STEPS PRIOR TO PANTHER PREP, PLEASE ENTER DOOR 24 ON PANTHER PREP DAY, WHERE STUDENTS WILL:
Take picture for Student ID and yearbook (please dress appropriate for school)
+
Pick up online purchases (EX: Athletic sports passes, parking permits, etc.)
